What is high-energy industrial tomography?
High-energy industrial tomography is a non-destructive 3D imaging technique used to inspect dense, thick or highly absorbing parts. It makes it possible to visualise the internal structure of metal components, complex assemblies or materials that are difficult to penetrate.
When should you use a 450 kV industrial CT system?
A 450 kV industrial CT system becomes relevant when the part is too dense or too thick to be properly penetrated by a conventional system, or when the image obtained does not allow critical defects to be detected reliably.
Why does resolution remain important in high energy?
Passing through a part is not enough: the image must also be sharp enough to detect the defects you are looking for. The Force line combines penetration and image quality to improve inspection reliability. With the 450 kV high-energy tube, the resolution is 40 µm; dual-generator configurations add a finer micro-focus generator, with less penetration.
Flat Panel or LineScan: which should you choose?
The Flat Panel is suited to fast acquisitions and overall visualisation, while the LineScan is particularly useful for improving contrast and reducing artefacts on very dense or complex parts.
Can Horus improve the inspection of metal parts?
Yes.
Horus improves reconstructions on metal parts, multi-material assemblies and highly attenuating components by reducing artefacts and improving the contrast and homogeneity of the reconstructed volumes.
Is it possible to handle heavy parts?
Yes. Our Force line CT systems have a reinforced mechanical architecture for handling heavy loads, while maintaining high geometric stability for high-quality tomography.
Is it possible to run tests in complete confidentiality?
Yes. We work daily with customers whose projects are confidential. We sign NDAs and can adapt our working environment to meet your confidentiality requirements.
Can the Force line be integrated into a production environment?
Yes. Through the
FAB Series, the Force line can rely on features suited to industrial environments: OPC-UA communication, automation, operator interfaces, standardised workflows and integration into quality/production flows.
Can performance be validated before purchase?
Yes. It is even recommended for high-energy projects: tests on real parts make it possible to validate penetration, image quality, scan time and defect detectability before investing.
What resolution does the Force line achieve?
With the 450 kV high-energy tube, 40 µm. Dual-generator configurations offer a finer resolution, with less penetration.
