HomeScan as a service
A critical part to validate, a series to inspect, an invisible defect to locate, an assembly to verify, a precious object to examine without touching it?
Whatever your industry, you can’t afford to cut it open. From automotive to aerospace, electronics to medical, foundry to plastics, and all the way to art and heritage: chances are we’ve already inspected a part like yours.

Our inspection service gives you access to a  team specialized in X-ray inspection  (2D radioscopy and 3D CT), without investing in a machine.

Non-destructive testing, material integrity, metrology, reverse engineering, complex analyses... You describe your need, send your parts and receive an actionable report and your 3D volumes. You can also rent a CT system, install it at your site and operate it yourself.
 Contact our Inspection Services team
It helps if you can tell us:
  • the number, weight and dimensions of your parts
  • their material(s) and thickness(es)
  • the resolution you need, or the minimum size of the defect you’re looking for
  • whether you want 2D radiography or 3D CT
  • whether you need additional analyses (porosity, fibers, inclusions, STL file generation, CAD-to-CT deviation mapping, dimensional measurements...)
We are used to working under NDA.

One-off or long-term servicescanning and analysis tailored to your needs

Every project is different: a few one-off scans don’t call for the same setup as a CT campaign spread over several months. Our inspection service offering therefore adapts to the duration, the location and who operates the machine.
Scan and/or analysis by session (one-off service)

You entrust us with your parts and our CT experts carry out the acquisitions and reconstructions at our facility. You can attend the session at RX Solutions or let us run it.
We can also provide advanced analyses.
 CT system rental (long-term service)

This option suits needs that extend over time, from several days to several months... or even longer. Beyond a one-day commitment, you can rent the CT system and choose the configuration that suits you, depending on location and operator.

Your team at the controls, or ours? Your choice.

Operated by our experts
Operated by your operators*
 At our facility
Our experts run the scan campaign on site.
You come and operate the machine at our facility (training included).
At your site (machine rented and installed)

Automotive: fast, reliable inspection of ceramic parts

“We needed to carry out X-ray sorting on ceramic parts to identify internal defects. The RX Solutions team quickly understood our problem and set up a suitable solution. In just a few days, we obtained reliable results that let us accurately assess the defect rate. We particularly appreciated the team’s responsiveness, the implementation of appropriate solutions and the confidence they gave us in the results.”

Aerospace
In aviation, every part must be traced and justified. Our inspection service meets the sector’s documentation requirements by providing detailed analyses from every angle, carried out by specialists trained in aerospace quality standards. A one-off or recurring service, without tying up your own inspection resources.

Additive manufacturing
Repeatability remains the main challenge of metal and polymer 3D printing. Rather than equipping your shop, entrust us with the inspection of your printed parts: we characterize the internal and external structure, part by part or by sampling across a series, to validate your processes without burdening your production chain.

×
Art, jewelry & watchmaking
Restorers, appraisers and watchmakers call on our service occasionally, for a rare piece or an entire collection, without having to equip themselves. We authenticate stones and watch movements and characterize materials and inks, all in a completely non-invasive way: a tailored service for unique, often priceless objects.

Composites
Composite structures show complex failure modes that are hard to anticipate without dedicated expertise. Our inspection service gives you access to a detailed analysis of the fiber/matrix structure at the nano scale, without hiring in-house skills or investing in a high-resolution CT system. A one-off or recurring service, depending on your validation needs.

Inspection Services FAQ: what you need to know before sending us your parts

What types of materials can I inspect?
All of them: plastics, metals (aluminum, steel, titanium, Inconel...), ceramics, composites and multi-material assemblies, elastomers and polymers... Our machines cover energies up to 450 kV to optimize penetration and ensure the best image quality (resolution down to 0.25 µm).
In what formats are results delivered?
A concise PDF report and the 3D volumes in MyVGL format (free viewer included). For CT, we can supply STL files if needed. Delivery is secure and on request, and our experts structure your results to support your technical decisions.
Can I attend the inspection of my parts?
Yes. You can drop off your parts directly in Chavanod (near Annecy) and attend the scan session. You can also follow the service by video call (Teams, Zoom...). A presentation of the results by video call is also available as an option.
Can I rent a machine to do CT in my own facility?
Yes. We can rent and install a CT system at your premises. We can also make one of our experts available on site.
Do you offer inspections on large series?
Yes. Our technologies suit both one-off inspection and large series. For repetitive production, we write technical instruction sheets, create custom sample holders and develop macros and scripts to automate inspections.
What is the lead time?
Quote within 48 hours, then results within 2 weeks as standard. An express option within 1 week is available for urgent cases.
How much does a CT analysis cost?
The cost depends on the requested resolution, the number of parts and the complexity of the scan. Contact us for a quote tailored to your project (reply within 48 hours).
