    Advanced reconstruction, even on challenging parts

     

    CT inspection of multi-material, metallic or highly attenuating components represents a major challenge in non-destructive testing. Traditional algorithms reach their limits when faced with these demanding configurations, producing degraded images and numerous artifacts that compromise dimensional analysis and defect detection.


    Thanks to its advanced algorithms, Horus drastically reduces artifacts and improves contrast, transforming difficult raw data into usable images ready for  analysis.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    Does Horus require a hardware upgrade?

    No, your CT system does not need to be modified or upgraded. However, depending on your PC configuration, reconstruction may be slow or even fail. We recommend at least a reconstruction PC with an RTX 5070 Ti graphics card and 256 GB of RAM.

    Is my X-Act interface changed?

    The interface remains the same. Fewer optimization tabs are available when you select Horus for reconstruction, but otherwise your interface is unchanged.

    Can I reduce the number of projections?

    Yes: during acquisition, you can reduce the number of projections and thus save scan time. Horus allows you to achieve equivalent quality results with fewer projections.

    Which CT systems are compatible with Horus?

    All our CT systems are compatible for using Horus in X-Act during reconstruction (EasyTom S/L/XL/Ultratom, etc.). Only the reconstruction PC may be too old to allow Horus to reconstruct properly.

    Any impact on metrology?

    A sharper and more homogeneous reconstruction stabilizes segmentation and naturally leads to more reliable measurements.

    Do I need to update X-Act?

    Yes, Horus is only available starting from the latest X-Act update, version 25.09. Previous versions do not support its use.
