OF X-RAY EXPERTISE

A critical part to validate, an invisible defect to locate, an assembly to check, a precious object to examine without touching it? Whatever your field, you can’t afford to cut it open.

RX Solutions’ industrial CT scanning service gives you access to a team of engineers and technicians specialised in X-ray inspection (2D radioscopy and 3D CT scanning), without investing in a machine.

From automotive to aerospace, from electronics to medical, from foundry to plastics — and all the way to art and heritage: we have probably already inspected a part like yours. Our experts scan a mass-produced component just as readily as a specimen from the French National Museum of Natural History (MNHN).If X-rays can pass through it, we can analyse it.

Non-destructive testing, material integrity, metrology, reverse engineering, complex analyses… you describe your need, you send your parts and you receive both a report and an analysis. You may also rent a ct scanner.

TAILORED CT scanning & analysis services, built around your requirements

Every project is different: a few one-off inspections don’t require the same setup as a CT campaign running over several days or months.
That’s why our X-ray inspection services adapt to your timeline, location, and operating model.

Option 1: Pay-per-scan and/or pay-per-analysis service (on-demand service)
You send us your parts, and our CT experts handle both acquisition and reconstruction at our facility.
You are welcome to attend the session in Chavanod (near Annecy), or let our team manage everything — with or without your presence.
We can also provide advanced analysis services, depending on your needs.

Option 2: CT system rental (long-term solution)
Designed for projects that extend over time — from several days to several months, or more.
Beyond a single day of operation, you can rent a CT system and select the setup that best fits your project, depending on location and operator

Operated by our experts  Operated by your team
At our facility  We run the campaign on-site.  You use the CT scanner at our facility (training included).
At your site (CT scanner rented & installed)  Our experts travel and operate at your site.  You run the CT scanner independently (training included).

Your operators at the controls? We train them.
If you choose to operate the CT scanner yourself, our application engineers deliver initial hands-on training, so your teams are autonomous and obtain reliable results from the start.

Not sure which option fits? Describe your need and we’ll guide you to the optimal configuration.

Resolution from 0.25 µm to 200 µm: our X-ray tube range covers a broad resolution spectrum and adapts to your level of detail.
Large scanning volumes: from small samples (<Ø1 mm) to  large parts (up to Ø600 mm x H720mm).
Part weight: from a few milligrams to 80 kg.
Material thickness: from under 5 mm to 320 mm.
Energy: up to 450kV.
All materials: plastics, metals (iron, aluminium, steel, copper, titanium, Inconel…), ceramics, composites, elastomers, multi-material assemblies.

Available X-ray inspections, everything our experts can analyse for you

Non-destructive testing, material integrity, complex analyses… with CT scanning, our inspection service lets you dive inside your parts. Every analysis comes with a report to support your decisions.
Explore in more detail material analysis with CT scanning, the benefits of CT geometric inspection, and the advantages of industrial metrology with computed tomography.

FAQ - your questions about our ct scanning & analysis services

What is the difference between 2D radioscopy and 3D CT scanning?
2D radioscopy provides a flat projected image, ideal for a quick assembly check or presence/absence detection. 3D CT scanning compiles hundreds of radiographs into a complete volume: it enables metrology, porosity analysis and exploration of the inside of the part, slice by slice.

What types of material can I have inspected?
All of them: plastics, metals (aluminium, steel, titanium, Inconel…), ceramics, composites / multi-material assemblies, elastomers and polymers… Our machines reach energies up to 450 kV to optimise penetration and ensure the best image quality (resolution up to 0.25 µm).

In what formats are the results delivered?
A concise PDF report and the 3D volumes in MyVGL format (free viewing software included). For CT, we can provide STL files if needed. Delivery is secure, and our experts structure your results to support your technical decisions.

Can I attend the inspection of my parts?
Yes. You can bring your parts directly to Chavanod (near Annecy) and attend the scanning session. A presentation of the results by video call is also available as an option.

Can I rent a machine to do CT scanning at my own site?
Yes. We can rent and install a CT system at your premises. We can also make one of our experts available on site.

Do you offer high-volume series inspections?
Yes. Our technologies suit both single-part checks and large series. For repetitive production, we write technical instruction sheets, create custom fixtures and develop macros and scripts to automate inspections.

What is the lead time of a service?
For one-off service : quote within 48h, then results within 2 weeks as standard. An express option within 1 week is available for urgent cases.

How much does a CT analysis cost?
The cost depends on the resolution required, the number of parts and the complexity of the scan. Contact us for a quote tailored to your project (reply within 48h).
